Apparence
The Hockey Mask is a glow-in-the-dark hockey goalie's mask (facemask with air holes) with red arrows up each side of the face leading up to a blue slash on the temples. It is attached to the head with four black straps.

How to obtain
The news article through which the gear can be obtained is no longer available for EU players. NA players can still get it for free using the following steps:
- Open the Nouvelles de la Switch application and select the article about Splatoween.
- The article is titled Free Download! Celebrate Splatoween with this spooky in-game gear.
- If the article is not visible, subscribe to Squid Research Lab Report and allow time for the news application to update with Splatoon-related news.
- Select the "Happy Splatoween" button located at the bottom of the article to start Splatoon 2.
- Open the box that appears in the middle of Inkopolis Square.

Bonus
Le masque de hockey vient avec Levée d'encre en tant que bonus principal quand il est acheté dans un magasin ou commandé via Tipik. Anecdotes
- The mask and its relation to Halloween are a reference to the "Friday the 13th" franchise, as its main antagonist, Jason Voorhees, wears a similar mask.
- The Japanese name for this gear intentionally misspells the word for "hockey" (written as ホッケ instead of ホッケー), since it is a homophone for a certain type of mackerel.
- Si l'on se fie à son prix sur SplatNet 2, il peut être déduit que le prix standard du masque de hockey serait de 8 800 s'il pouvait être acheté chez Couvre-Seiche au lieu d'être obtenu dans les Nouvelles de la Switch.
